Key Bank of Alaska

Key Bank of Alaska purchased Transamerica Commercial Finance Corp.'s Alaska retail automotive portfolio in February. The transaction added approximately $9 million in loans to Key Bank's auto loan portfolio and increased the bank's loan servicing by more than 1,300 accounts.

The Magazine and Bookseller's Association awarded Alaska magazine Best Cover of 1989 for its June issue. The photograph by Ken Graham showed a black and gold sunset over Prince William Sound and was titled "Paradise Lost." Alaska magazine's art director, Christina Hansen-Earl, designed the cover.
