Kerrang tour's taking Bizkit; ALAN POOLE looks ahead to Limp Bizkit's headline role on the next Kerrang! tour, which stops off in the Midlands.

HOT on the heels of their triumphant Download performance, Limp Bizkit have confirmed a speedy return to the UK as headliners of next year's Kerrang! tour.

The 11-date schedule, which includes Birmingham's O2 Academy on Thursday, February 13, will coincide with the release of the metal veterans' new album and frontman Fred Durst declared: "It's an honour to headline the Kerrang! tour - it's a really inspirational and motivational thing for Limp Bizkit.

"We're going through a pretty amazing phase in our journey and it couldn't have come at a better time.

"The Kerrang! Tour will be the offi-cial launch of Stampede Of The Disco Elephants and I can't tell you how magical that feels. It's gonna get chaotic and wild!" They will be joined by Japanese outfit Crossfaith, who played Reading/Leeds Festival last weekend and unveil their new album Apocalyze on September 9. Vocalist Kenta Koi revealed: "Limp Bizkit is a huge influence on our music and we are incredibly honoured to be asked to tour with them."

Well, he would say that, wouldn't he? And he added, equally predictably: "Thank you so much for having us back to your beautiful country - this is our favourite country to tour and we are so excited to be coming back."

Not-so-sunny Californians Nekrogoblikon complete the bill, their vocalist Nicholas Von Doom cutting to the chase by declaring: "The show's gonna be ill, dope and rad, ya dig?" | If you find that invitation impossible to resist, tickets go on sale at 9am today from / 0844 811 0051 and / 0844 826 2826.
