Worldwide Computer Products News-29 July 2009-Kerio introduces Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.7(C)1995-2009 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

Internet security company Kerio Technologies Inc has announced a new version of its Kerio WinRoute Firewall with the Kerio Web Filter and a web-based administration interface.

The company said that the new Kerio Web Filter delivers an extra layer of security by blocking access to malicious sites that are infected or serve as malware distribution sites. The solution restricts access to any website or web page that has not been analysed and categorised.

Kerio Web Filter provides granular categorisation of websites into 53 categories. Combined with Kerio WinRoute Firewall's user-centric filter rules, it enables organisations to develop and deploy a flexible Internet-use policy designed for different groups of users or individuals. The solution also provides managers and IT staff access to real-time data through the web-based reporting dashboard, Kerio StaR.

In addition, Kerio Administration Console allows administrators to configure firewall policies through the new cross-browser Web Administration interface, which works in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari browsers.

Kerio WinRoute Firewall ships with user management, gateway antivirus, VPN, bandwidth control, Internet link load balancer and gateway firewall. Kerio VPN Client is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Kerio WinRoute Firewall 6.7 is available starting at USD329 for ten users or USD395 with integrated McAfee Anti-Virus on 1 August 2009. Offered as an optional module, Kerio Web Filter retails for USD150 for ten users.
