Kenya : LVWSB plans to endow Sh6 billion for Repairing Water Systems.

Sh6 billion would be invested by the Lake Victoria Water Services Board (LVWSB) to repair water systems in Kisii and Nyamira Counties.

As per Board's boss Crispin Juma, the company has also endowed part of the capital to improve sections of the systems in both the nations.

"So far Sh1.5 billion has been poured into the projects. We will also spend the remaining cost 4.5 billion shillings, bringing the total cost to Sh6 billion," Mr Juma said.

Over 340,000 occupants across the region would welfare once the project is finalized. Several projects that are already financed by the company are being undertaken in ten counties within the Lake basin region.

Mr Juma added that part of the funds utilized in the projects are donated by development partners.

"Among our donors in the projects are the governments of Netherlands and Germany through the KFW Bank," he said.
