BERTIE Ahern and Enda Kenny are to be called to give evidence at the inquiry into the banking crisis.
The current and former Taoisigh are on a list of political witnesses to be summoned to the inquiry in July.
Mr Ahern will be quizzed on economic policy during his time in power, while Enda Kenny will be asked about his financial policies while Opposition leader.
Up to 10 bankers from the former Anglo Irish Bank are also to be called, including Sean FitzPatrick and David Drumm.
The former International Monetary Fund mission chief to Ireland Ajai Chopra will answer questions at the inquiry in September.
European Central Bank president Jean Claude Trichet has already declined a request to appear.
