Kelly's off the TV menu.
Kelly, right, is expected to be ditched when she gets back from her summer holiday.
The 19-year-old model has faced a barrage of criticism since she landed the pounds 200,000-a-year TV job as Johnny Vaughan's co-host.
Bosses feel she has failed to match the popularity of Denise Van Outen, whom she replaced in February.
Producers had hoped to persuade 31-year-old Davina McCall, who has stood in for Kelly, to join The Big Breakfast as a regular.
But it is believed Davina was already tied up on other projects.
High on the list of names tipped to replace Kelly is Liza Tarbuck, daughter of TV comic Jimmy. She currently hosts Channel 4's new fashion slot, She's Gotta Have It.
Another is Sara Cox from the former Girlie Show. Last month Radio 1 signed Sara up to front a Saturday afternoon show.
Leaked internal memos revealed Kelly needed help with long words and complicated scripts, and also failed to strike up a chemistry with Vaughan, known for his quick-fire wit.
A Channel 4 source said last night: "The problem is she just does not fit in with Johnny, who is an enormous success. Gaby Roslin and Denise Van Outen are hard to live up to."
