Keeper gets a big chance.

BLUES have taken giant French goalkeeper Simon Lefebvre on their Under-21s pre-season camp to Austria.

The 19-year-old, who is 6ft 8ins tall, is on trial having come through at Ligue 1 side Bordeaux.

He will spend the week with Richard Beale's squad and work with the other goalkeeper, Jake Weaver.

Lefebvre is available on a free transfer having been released by Bordeaux.

The youngster was promoted to the first-team squad last term but with several senior goalkeepers already under contract, his five-year stay was not extended.

Another U21 goalkeeper, Connal Trueman, is working with Gary Rowett's squad in Marbella, alongside Tomasz Kuszczak and Adam Legzdins.
