Keeper Nash to complete transfer.
Carlo Nash was completing his deadline-day move to Championship side Preston North End today.
Preston will pay up to pounds 175,000 for the 31-year-old Boro No.2, depending on North End's performances.
Nash, 31, made only five league and cup appearances for Boro after signing from Manchester City in the summer of 2003.
The Bolton-born keeper replaced Mark Crossley as Mark Schwarzer's deputy but his chances were limited due to the Australian international's consistency.
It was clear earlier this season that Nash would not be awarded a contract extension by Boro this summer, so the move to Deepdale will suit him.
Nash's departure will enable Australian keeper Brad Jones, who has been on loan at Blackpool for much of the season, to cement his place as the new Boro No.2.
Ross Turnbull, currently recovering from a broken wrist, will also be challenging Jones next term.
Boro are one of several Premiership clubs linked with an interest in Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Victor.
With Depor closing in on Real Zaragoza star Cani, it's likely that Victor will be available in the summer.
Chelsea were linked with Victor last summer, while Spurs and Birmingham are the other clubs said to be interested.
Tony McMahon will be out for six weeks after undergoing a cartilage operation.
