Keep those eyes on the PRIZECARL ..and you can Av a crack at real glory.

WHAT an opportunity lies before my man Carl Frampton in Belfast tonight.

The world of sport, never mind boxing, is thrilled at the prospect of the super fight between Floyd Mayweather Junior and Manny Pacquiao.

The old game still retains the power to enthral, even though both are past their peaks. We are talking about the richest fight in boxing history here.

Even at the thin edge of the wedge, the Pacman will take home PS50million, Mayweather a smoking PS78m.

Last week we saw Gennady Golovkin move to 33-0 against Martin Murray, who deserved a medal for taking the fight into the 11th round. Golovkin moves on to Miguel Cotto next. Big names, big fights.

This is the territory into which Frampton (right) is moving.

ITV have seen enough to return to big-time boxing for the first time in five years. His IBF super bantamweight title defence against Chris Avalos goes out on the flagship show tonight. This is a huge deal for Frampton.

Every fight is important but it is how he looks in the spotlight. Winning is one thing, winning under pressure is another.

The standard gets tougher every time he steps into the ring.

We are in this business to fight the best. We want to win impressively, unify the division then go up.

Carl has genuine knockout power in both hands. He's quick and explosive. I'm not looking beyond Saturday night but he has all the qualities you need to become a global g star ar My My My My M job as manage ge ge ge ger is star. My job as manager is to make sure he maximises every last drop of his talent to get there. I lost the title in my third defence.

There were reasons for that and my career took a complicated turn politically which ultimately stole my momentum. That, we hope, won't happen with Carl.

He is in a fantastic place mentally and physically.

And it's all there in front of him. Pacquiao has shown you don't have to be 6ft tall to make a name in this business. If you have the right credentials and make the right moves anything is possible.

Carl is progressing brilliantly. He has made significant improvements, getting better at close quarters staying in the pocket longer while not losing his effectiveness at distance.

sgqpld He could go up to feather and super featherweight. He carries the power with him, but first he still has business in this division.
