Keep abreast of security challenges, Saif says.

Abu Dhabi The UAE is considered one of the world's safest countries, the UAE Minister of Interior has said. In a statement made yesterday to mark the opening of the International Security and National Resilience 2010 (ISNR) conference, Lt General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said keeping abreast with changing security challenges brought on by technological advancements is important.

The second edition of (ISNR 2010) Abu Dhabi, organised by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with Reed Exhibitions, will begin on March 1. The event features companies exhibiting the latest security-related technology and a conference featuring experts and high-ranking officials.

"The technological developments which our world is witnessing has put new challenges it had not faced before. It is important to provide security for our communities at a time when new trends of organised crime have appeared," said Shaikh Saif in the statement.
