Kazakhstan seeks to pause railway communication with China over coronavirus.
The Kazakhstan Temir Zholy national company plans to freeze the movement of two passenger trains on the routes from Urumqi to Almaty and Nur-Sultan due to the risk of spreading of new coronavirus, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports.
Passengers and train staff are checked by sanitary and epidemiological services of Kazakhstan upon arrival to the railway stations.
Those arrived are also asked about their health conditions.
In addition, the national company said a special instruction has been developed for chiefs of the trains for regulation of activities of train staff in case of detection of the coronavirus among passengers.
