Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan plan to issue multiple entry visas.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan plan to sign agreement on introduction of tourist multiple entry visas that would allow travelers to visit both countries, Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly said.
Astana hosted March 14 the meeting of the Kazakh-Uzbek inter-governmental commission for bilateral cooperation.
"Now were discussing introduction of tourist multiple entry visas, which would allow tourists in Uzbekistan to travel to Kazakhstan, and those who came to Kazakhstan to also travel to Uzbekistan," Mukhamediuly said.
Often tourists traveling to Kazakhstan are also interested in visiting the historical sights of Uzbekistan, and those who come to Uzbekistan want to visit the mausoleum of Khodja-Ahmet Yassaui in Turkestan and Astana, the Minister said.
2018 was declared the Year of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan. More than 200 events in the field of economy, tourism, and culture are planned within a year in Kazakhstan.
