Kazakhstan - Kazakh-China Oil P/L.

A 2,798-km crude oil pipeline system has the capacity of supplying China with 400,000 b/d. The first 1,240-km, 200,000 b/d section from Atasu, in north-western Kazakhstan, to Alashankou in China's north-western Xinjiang region came on stream in 2007, with PetroChina (a unit of the state-owned China National Petroleum Corp - CNPC), being the exclusive buyer and commercial operator of the line, is a 50-50 JV of CNPC and KTO.

A second - 1,558-km section - of the Kazakh-China pipeline came on stream in late 2009 and doubled its capacity. This runs from Atyrau to Alataw Pass on the border via Aktobe.
