Kaye completes merger.

Lawrence Greenfield and Howard Kaye, co-presidents of Kaye Insurance Associates, L.P., and Alexander Fisher, chairman of Amalgamated Programs Corp., reported that the previously announced merger of their insurance brokerage organizations was completed on Sept. 8, 1992.

The merger is part of a planned expansion program initiated by Kaye Insurance Associates in 1991. The new company will rank as the country's 11th largest retail insurance broker and the largest broker of insurance programs for the real estate industry in the New York area.

Amalgamated will operate as a division of Kaye and continue to service accounts from its offices in New York. The firm's principals will participate in the management of the new organization.

Kaye Insurance Associates specializes in property/casualty insurance and employee benefits planning for accounts ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small private companies. The firm is headquartered in Manhattan and maintains offices in Los Angeles; Chicago; Warwick, Rhode Island; and Southport, Connecticut.
