Kaufman's designer deal.

The Kaufman Organization recently brokered a five-year, 11,695 s/f lease at 550 Seventh Avenue, for designer Eugene Fenasci, LLC. Designed as an atelier, the firm's new headquarters shares an address with several of the world's most renowned designers including Oscar De La Renta, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and more. The space features offices, multiple showrooms, private fitting rooms for clients and a specialized design area for Eugene Fenasci designers to create its unique garments. The company will be launching a new high-end women's fashion line specializing in luxury contemporary eveningwear retailing from $2,000 to $35,000.

Michael Heaner of the Kaufman Organization represented Bill Blass Licensing Co., Inc., while Glenn Roberts and Harriet Molk of Fenway Equities and Molk Associates represented the tenant. Although the terms of the lease were undisclosed, the asking rent for the space was $45 psf. The showroom was previously occupied by legendary designer Bill Blass.
