IF anyone can look cool in a giant pink meringue, it has to be Kate Moss...

At least, that's what the supermodel will be hoping when she rocks up at her Big Fat Gypsy Weddings-themed party at the Isle of Wight festival.

I hear mum-of-one Kate has commissioned Scouser Thelma Madine - the dress designer behind those monstrosities on the hit Channel 4 series - to make a gown for her pre-wedding bash at the June 10 festival.

Kate, 37, plans to wow her gaggle of girl pals, including Sadie Frost, Fran Cutler and Beth Ditto, with her bouffant bridal gown which will re-create the illuminated, pink, tiered affair with moving butterflies, as seen in the TV documentary.

And to complete the BFGW theme Kate will also have a ridiculously large castle cake and a pumpkin carriage.

The do is a month before the July 9 date she has set to marry Kills guitarist Jamie Hince in a UK service, after they exchanged vows in a private Sicilian ceremony last summer.

My source tells me: "Kate is obsessed with the series and watched it religiously week in, week-out. Her PA contacted Thelma for a replica dress to be commissioned and the pounds 7,000 frock is being shipped from Liverpool for the occasion. She was adamant it had fairylights and battery-operated butterflies on it, just like the one in the show.

"There will be dance-offs like the Shakira moves in the show, 'grabbing' competitions, but, hopefully, no bare-knuckle boxing."

Last month Thelma hinted at Kate's bash on Twitter. She wrote: "A celeb ordered a BFGW dress today. Can't tell you who just yet, I have been sworn to secrecy. Nothing new about that though!!" At least Kate is no stranger to dressing up. On Monday she got all dolled up as posh Margot Leadbetter from The Good Life to attend a 70s dinner party in North London.

She even took a box of After Eights for the host. They were cool in the 70s, kids...
