Karti meets Gambian Foreign Minister in Jeddah.

Jeddah, June 19 (SUNA)- The Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, met in Jeddah with his Gambian counterpart, Abu-Bakar Singhor on the sidelines of the 41st Session of the Meetings of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.In a statement to SUNA, Karti said the meeting came in framework of consultations, cooperation and coordination of stances between the member states.The Gambian Foreign Minister said he was keen to meet with Karti to thank Sudan for the support that it is providing to the African countries, especially its concern with the Africa International University, disclosing that Sudan has played a major role in development in the African states, in addition to the enhancement of the African human resources.The Gambian minister unveiled that he has initiative with regard to graduates of Africa International University in the different African countries, most of them are now assuming leading positions to contribute, toward supporting the University and to defend Sudan against the ill-intentioned foreign media campaigns that are aimed to distort Sudan image.ASA/MO
