ICELAND'S heroes have blasted Cristiano Ronaldo's post-match strop - and claimed it shows Lionel Messi is the greater player.
Portugal's star man criticised the islanders' for their style of play and celebration after their 1-1 draw, claiming they "showed a small mentality and that's why they are not going to do anything."
But Kari Arnason, the former Aberdeen stopper who shackled the surly Real Madrid superstar, said: "It makes it even sweeter when he's a sore loser like that. He can say whatever he wants. He got one chance and he couldn't put it away. What can I say? Sore loser. Tough s**t. "He's a fantastic footballer but he's not a gracious human being. His comments are the reason why Messi is always going to be one step ahead of him."
