Karate: Kenpo are a six hit at Worcester.

SIX Kenpo Karate students from The Martial Arts Centre of Excellence in Cardiff were among the medals at the WUMA Series finals in Worcester.

The six, who train at the centre in Cow bridge Road West, were invited to take part as they had racked up the most points in competitions in 2007.

Kyron Caddick, Jamie-Lee Cummings, Lewis Cummings, Lewis Goold and Joshua Griffiths all won their categories, while Scott Goddard just missed out and took second place in his discipline.

Kenpo Karate is just one of the disciplines available at the centre, and the doors are open to all newcomers.

The centre offers various disciplines and are so respected that the centre and the instructors have been featured in the famous martial art magazine Combat and commended for the safety within the centre.

The WKKA also has an anti-bullying campaign, and is now leading South Wales in the campaign against bullying, both at school and in the workplace.

Anyone wishing further information please call along to the centre between the hours of 5pm-8pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays where there will be someone there to help you.
