Karachi index gains 63 points.
Karachi: Pakistan's KARACHI: Pakistan's benchmark stock index, the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index, rose 0.35 percent at the close. The index of 100 companies traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange rose 63.25 to 18,335.36. Among the stocks in the index, 48 rose, 45 fell and 7 were unchanged. Gains in the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index were led by Unilever Pakistan, Hub Power and Colgate Palmolive Pakistan. Engro Corporation, which rose Rs1.11 to Rs135.51, was the most active stock by value in Pakistan. The next most-active issues were Engro Foods, which rose 2.86 to Rs131.00, and Maple Leaf Cement Factory, which rose Re1 to Rs19.76.
