Kam Controls Optical Interface Detector. (What's New In Security, Communications, SCADA, Measurement and Buildings).

KAM OID (Optical Interface Detector) from Kam Controls Inc. is designed to provide the user with quick and accurate detection of product interface in the pipeline. The OID rises fiber optics, transmitting information without the use of electricity. The OID consists of a patented optical probe and related transmit and receive electronics. The probe consists of two 600-micron lenses in the process end of the probe and two fiber-optic cables fitted with SMA connectors at the atmosphere end. The KAM OID detects the interface by measuring the absorption of the transmitted light into the fluid. The data are then transmitted to the user.
