THE 15-BAR ESPRESSO MAKER PICTURED HERE IS PART OF THE COMPANY'S AQUA COLLECTION, which Kalorik formally launched in April. The line also includes a four-blade blender, a 10-cup coffeemaker and a two-slice toaster. The espresso maker is manufactured with an Italian pump and an aluminum boiler. It features a removable, 30-ounce water tank with a handle and two stainless steel filters, one small and one large. It is also compatible with coffee pods. Also part of the espresso maker's design is a steam nozzle for both milk frothing and water warming. At the top of the machine is a cup-warming zone as well. All of the products in the Aqua collection are designed with stainless steel bodies with chrome and frosted glass accents. According to a Kalorik statement, the collection was created with a specific consumer in mind--one who values design, simplicity and functionality. While Aqua is very much a collection in the design sense, Kalorik has also stressed that these units are sold individually, giving the consumer the choice of which products he or she needs in the kitchen. "Bringing the Kalorik Aqua collection to the U.S. market is very exciting for us," said Uri Murad, vice president of marketing for Kalorik. "Our goal with the Aqua collection is to bring high-end product with exceptional design to the market at an affordable price."
