KYLIE MINOGUE - KYLIE CHRISTMAS.

Ah, the Christmas album! There has been many a star who's lent their vocals to a festive jingle, but if truth be told, they can be rather hit and miss. For every Mariah Carey classic, there's a David Hasslehoff Christmas long player lurking in the background. Luckily for fans of iconic Aussie singer Kylie, this is an album as charming as it is high quality. There are 16 tunes to listen to (22 if you get the deluxe version) which include duets - Christmas Wrapping is a jaunty number with Iggy Pop - as well as solo efforts. The opener is the rather beautiful It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, and after just a few bars of festive bells, you'll be in no doubt that it is indeed a most magical time. Amongst other classics, such as covers of Let It Snow and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, there are a few surprises along the way: who'd have thought James Corden could hold a tune as well as he does on Only You? Plus, Frank Sinatra 'features' on Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Most importantly, this is an album that you'll be able to listen to on repeat on your long car journeys to visit family over the festive season. You may even find yourself hoping for a traffic jam...
