KUNKEL TO LEAD NORTHWEST REGION FOR BROWN AND CALDWELL

 PLEASANT HILL, Calif., Feb. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Greg Kunkel, Ph.D. has been named regional manager for environmental services in Brown and Caldwell's (BC) northwest region which includes the states of Washington, Oregon and Idaho. As manager, Kunkel will lead the region's business development efforts as well as manage projects. He will be based out of BC's Portland, Ore., office. He brings more than 18 years of professional experience to the firm.
 Kunkel is active in the Air and Waste Management Association, the American Chemical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, among other organizations.
 His range of experience runs from permitting cogeneration facilities to evaluations of compliance strategies for petrochemical companies, and his particular expertise lies in environmental planning and land restoration.
 He earned a M.A. in vegetation ecology from the University of Colorado at Boulder where he had previously earned a B.A. in environmental, population and organismic biology. He studied physiological plant ecology at the University of California at Davis where he received his doctoral degree in 1979.
