KUNA Chief calls for addressing problems facing people with special needs.

Chairman of the Board and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah affirmed on Wednesday that problems facing people with special needs within the social integration domain should be addressed and solved to allow such individuals to contribute to society. On the occasion of the First Conference on People with Special Needs which was opened yesterday, Sheikh Mubarak told the press that such individuals were an integral part of society, adding that the event, which gathered Kuwaiti and GCC officials, could contribute to the social integration of this sector.Society would not view people with special needs with pity due to the fact that many had given back to society with bodacious achievements that rivals those of their normal peers, stressed Sheikh Mubarak, hoping that a law would be passed to ensure the rights of such sector. The conference, under the sponsorship of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of State for Development Affairs, and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, will be concluded today.
