KU violating contract rule for aged officials.

KARACHI -- Despite Supreme Court's clear directives, Karachi University (KU) is known to be flagrantly violating contract rules by allowing 62 years to 75 years old officials on four important posts.

Sources have informed that Supreme Court had clearly ordered the University administration that all officials who had completed their tenure should never be re-hired (even) on contract basis.

Yet the Karachi University administration is known to be openly flouting these directives by retaining, backing director finance Zafar Abbas, senior accounts officer Jilani aging more than 62 years, registrar Dr. Mansoor Ahmad aged 65, and Vice Chancellor's advisor Sohail Barkati is well in his 75th year!

Sources have also disclosed that Karachi University was facing a heavy financial crunch due to such anomalies, and retaining senior contract officials was just increasing this financial burden.

University employees have demanded CJP to take Suo motto notice of such blatant flouting of laws.
