KTHV goes bilingual.

With a burgeoning state Hispanic population, RTHV-TV, Channel 11, launched July 28 a live Spanish-language version of its 10 p.m. news broadcast.

It will broadcast Monday through Friday as a second audio program, which is available on most TVs. Since the new broadcast isn't on the station's primary audio channel, English speakers won't hear a difference on the Difference.

The staff of Arkansas' statewide bilingual newspaper, Hola! Arkansas, owned by Hola! Arkansas Hispanic Media & Publishing Co., will provide translation services.
