KSI Services changes name to Kettler.

KSI Services, Vienna, Va., announced Nov. 1 that it is changing its corporate name and brand to Kettler, by adopting the last name of its founder and chairman, Robert C. Kettler, a third-generation Washington-area developer who founded the company 30 years ago.

The company is ranked among the 20 largest multifamily housing developers in the country, with communities throughout the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore metropolitan regions.

KSI is currently the Washington area's largest owner and manager of affordable rental properties. Today, the company has more than 8,000 apartment units under management and approximately 5,000 units in development.

"While others are trying to adjust to the market, we are going to take the opportunity to move ahead by evolving our marketing identity and our brand," said Robert C. Kettler, Founder and Chairman of Kettler. "We are purposefully setting the stage to increase business flexibility and prosperity with this name change."

Kettler founded the private real estate company in 1977 and it has grown from a one-man operation to one with more than 450 employees.

"This region is a landscape of 'alphabet' companies, so the name Kettler gives us a distinctive identity," said Jamie Gorski, Chief Marketing Officer of Kettler.
