KRUG LIFE SCIENCES ANNOUNCES A FIVE-YEAR, $11.8 MILLION CONTRACT WITH THE ARMSTRONG LABORATORY AT BROOKS AIR FORCE BASE

 DAYTON, Ohio, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- KRUG International (NASDAQ: KRUG) today announced that its Texas-based subsidiary, KRUG Life Sciences, was awarded a five-year, $11.8 million contract with the Armstrong Laboratory, Brooks Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Under the contract, titled "Research and Development of Advanced Life Support Equipment," KRUG scientists study the effects of acceleration and altitude on human physiology as well as methods to counteract specific adverse effects. These efforts help to assure the health and safety of crew members in high performance aircraft.
 The contract concentrates on research and development efforts in specific areas including the effect of physical conditioning on acceleration tolerance. The contract includes the development of new anti-G suits to increase G-tolerance in high performance aircraft. The contract allows for the study of female tolerance to acceleration forces and the effects of acceleration layoff on G-tolerance. Other areas of concentration include computer mathematical models to determine risk of decompression sickness, development of improved molecular sieve oxygen generating systems, spatial disorientation countermeasures, sustained operations research, and biochemical laboratory operation and support.
 KRUG Life Sciences Inc. provides support services and technical consulting in life sciences research and development to NASA and the Department of Defense and other government agencies, and the commercial marketplace.
