 KROGER TO REDEEM $100 MILLION OF SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES
 CINCINNATI, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) said it has notified the trustee of its 13-1/8 percent subordinated debentures to redeem $100 million of the debentures at a price of 109.375 percent. Holders affected will be notified by the trustee within the next 10 business days.
 After this redemption, $112.9 million of the 13-1/8 percent subordinated debentures and $223.8 million of the 12-7/8 percent senior subordinated debentures will be outstanding.
