KROGER CO. AGREES TO MEET WITH FEDERAL MEDIATORS, UNION REPRESENTATIVES
 DETROIT, April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) said today that it has agreed to a meeting next week with federal mediators and local union representatives at the request of United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 876 officials and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
 The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, at a location and time to be determined.
 "Kroger is agreeing to the request for a meeting in the hope that it will lead to an early end to this strike," said Kroger's Michigan Marketing Area President Joel Greenisen.
