KRAFT USA NAMES JOHNSON TO HEAD SPECIALTY PRODUCTS DIVISION

 GLENVIEW, Ill., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Kraft USA announced today that Carl Johnson, 45, has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager of Kraft's Specialty Products Division. Johnson is currently vice president of Strategy for Kraft. He succeeds Roger K. Deromedi, 40, who was previously named to the same position for Kraft's Retail Cheese Division. The appointment is effective immediately.
 Johnson has worked in the consumer products industry for more than 20 years, holding marketing and sales positions with Colgate Palmolive, CCI Telemarketing, and the Polaroid Corporation, where he was vice president in charge of worldwide advertising. Before joining Kraft in early 1992 to assume his current position, he was a senior partner and director for Marketing Corporation of America.
 The Specialty Products Division is a business unit of Kraft USA. Kraft USA is an operating group of Kraft General Foods, the multinational food business of Philip Morris Companies Inc. (NYSE: MO)
