KPMG PEAT MARWICK SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERS

 LOS ANGELES, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Four individuals have been admitted into partnership in the Southern California area practice of KPMG Peat Marwick, the international accounting and consulting firm. The new partners are: Ronald J. Barbieri, Robert C. Dunlap, Douglas R. Hart and Thomas Moran.
 Barbieri, Ph.D., is a partner and director of the office's Commercial Consulting Services, Real Estate and Hospitality Consulting. Barbieri is an adviser to financial institutions, landowners, developers and public agencies. He consults on all aspects of real estate investment and development specializing in evaluating investment positions in real estate. Barbieri received bachelor of arts and master of business administration degrees from Stanford University and a doctorate in Real Estate, Housing Policy and Urban Land Economics from UCLA.
 Dunlap is responsible for directing the Southern California area Property Tax practice and the Phoenix office's State and Local Tax practice. Based in Phoenix, Dunlap provides specialized tax services in such areas as: sales, construction receipt, use, personal property and commercial leasing tax. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Michigan State University and his J.D. from Ohio Northern University.
 Hart is in the Manufacturing, Retailing and Distribution practice. Hart serves retail companies and specializes in accounting issues related to acquisitions and Securities and Exchange Commission filings. He received his bachelor of arts degree in Business - Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
 Moran leads the firm's Insurance Tax practice in Los Angeles and is KPMG's national director of state and local tax services for the insurance industry. Moran holds a master's degree in Business and Finance as well as a bachelor of science in Accounting from Indiana University.
 The Southern California practice of KPMG Peat Marwick includes four Los Angeles-area offices as well as offices in Orange County, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, Ariz., and Honolulu. The firm provides accounting, tax and management consulting services to leading businesses, governmental and private institutions and individuals through 139 offices in the United States. KPMG Peat Marwick is the U.S. practice of KPMG, which operates in 125 countries and posted 1992 worldwide revenues of $6.15 billion.
