KPK govt closes regional offices of information department.

ABBOTTABAD -- Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa (KPK) government on Thursday issued an order to close all regional offices of Information Department in the province.

After this notification issued vide letter No-89M dated, June 18, 2014 administration department sealed all regional offices of Information Department, including Hazara.

Hazara Newspapers Association (HNPA) has called for a meeting regarding this decision and also criticized the closure of regional information offices.

President HNPA Ahmed Nawaz Jadoon also showed his concern over this decision and said that information department had to pay Rs 10 million to the newspapers of Hazara division before June 30.

He also claimed that closure of the regional information offices are the conspiracy against the regional newspapers as they are dependent on the information department.

Hazara Newspapers Association also decided for a strike against the PTI led government.
