KP increases servants contribution in Benevolent Fund.

PESHAWAR, April 17, 2011 (Balochistan Times): The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has further amended West Pakistan Government Servants Benevolent Fund Rules, 1960 under which the rate of monthly contribution to the fund has been enhanced. According to a notification issued by department of Administration, the government servants drawing pay in BPS-16 and above shall contribute Rs. 250/- per month. The Government Servants drawing pay in BPS-5 to BS-15 shall contribute Rs. 180/- while in case of Govt: Servants drawing pay in BPS-1 to BS-4 shall contribute Rs. 120/- per month. Similarly, a sum of Rs.500,000/-(five hundred thousand rupees) as lump sum grant to the widows/legal heirs of in service deceased gazetted servants and a sum of Rs.55,000/- (fifty five thousand rupees) as retirement grant on retirement of gazetted government servants shall be made with effect from Ist July 2010. Likewise, merit scholarship for studies amongst the children of serving gazetted government servants having top ten positions in Boards or having Ist Class Bachelors Degree or Ist Class Masters Degree or Professional Degree (Final examination) will be granted as Rs. 8,000/- for the students of SSC, Rs. 16000/- for intermediate, Rs. 20,000/- for Bachelors Degree and Rs. 24000/- for Master Degree/Professional Degree. Application for the grant of merit scholarship is to be submitted on prescribed form.
