KP govt finalizes draft of monetization policy.

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said advocate has said that policy for the prevention of the misuse of official vehicles will be implemented at any cost to make it a precedent for other provinces.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of Monetization Committee here in Civil Secretariat on Wednesday. Besides, Provincial Minister for Culture, Shah Farman, the senior authorities of the departments of administration, Planning and Development, Communication and Works (C and W), Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR), Transport, Local Governments and education also attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed the draft of the monetization policy and after threadbare discussion gave it final shape, which will presented to Chief Minister for approval. It has a worth to mention here that the provincial government has constituted a high-level committee for the stoppage of the misuse of official vehicles under the chairmanship of the finance minister.

The meeting held with finance minister in the chair discussed in detail the proposals prepared by the committee and gave it final shape.

The provincial minister appreciated the members of the committee for framing useful and implementable proposals and directed for making monetization policy more useful and beneficial for the province from all aspects.

The finance minister said that for bringing change the present provincial government wanted taking good and revolutionary decisions. He said that the enactment of the monetization policy will be a historic decision and for its practical implementation, the government will have to take concrete steps.
