KOSINS CLOTHES CONSOLIDATES TWO LOCATIONS

LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- In October 1991, Kosins Clothes became the Midwest's first menswear retailer to be operated under an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). That plan has enabled the retailer to undergo another milestone, according to Norman Wachler, president and CEO of Kosins and Kosins Big & Tall.
Kosins Clothes recently expanded its quarters to 12,000 square feet to accommodate the inventory and staff of the Kosins Big & Tall store, now housed in a separate location on Southfield Road, north of 10 1/2 Mile, Lathrup Village. The Big & Tall store will officially close its doors later this year, and Kosins' wide selection of clothing for this market will be available at the Kosins store on Southfield at 11 1/2 Mile.
"The consolidation of the two stores will enable us to combine all aspects of our work under one roof," Wachler said. "More importantly, the move will benefit our customers. Time has become a critical factor in determining people's shopping habits, and we do not want to compromise the needs of our loyal customers. The consolidation will simplify the shopping experience -- from sales and service to custom tailoring and billing -- for our customers."
Founded in 1926, Kosins Clothes, Inc. is one of the Detroit area's oldest and most respected men's clothing retailers.
