KOREAN AIRLINES PURCHASES WICAT/NATCO 747-400 COURSEWARE OREM, Utah, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Wicat Systems Inc.
(NASDAQ: WCAT) today announced that Korean Air (Seoul, Korea) has purchased the Boeing 747-400 Full Ground School computer-based training (CBT) course developed by Wicat and Northwest Aerospace Training Co. (NATCO: Minneapolis). In addition, KAL also agreed to purchase additional hardware to deliver the courseware in its existing Wicat CBT classroom. The contract is valued at $300,000.
The addition of both the courseware and hardware gives KAL full ground school pilot training at its Inchon training center for the Boeing 747-400 and Douglas MD-11. Wicat's student management system, WCMI(TM), is also being implemented to provide KAL with the necessary software to evaluate all students on all courses. "We are very excited about this new addition to our current ground school," commented Captain C.S. Moon, vice president of the Korean Air Flight Crew Training Center. "As we've learned from our previous CBT courseware, we can provide a significantly higher level of training while at the same time reducing the amount of time students spend in the classroom." Wicat Systems is a world leader in technology-based training and provides products and services to significantly improve learning in industries, military, government and schools.
