KOHL'S CORPORATION REPORTS SEPTEMBER SALES

 MILWAUKEE, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) reported today that sales for the month of September were up 27.7 percent over a year ago. On a comparable store basis, sales increased 16.9 percent. William Kellogg, chairman of Kohl's Corporation stated that, "We are extremely pleased with our sales performance in September. The cool weather in the Midwest in September contributed to significant increases in our apparel businesses. All markets realized double digit comparable store sales increases."
 For the eight months ended Oct. 2, 1993, sales were up 19.2 percent over the same period a year ago. On a comparable store basis, sales increased 9.1 percent.
