KOHL'S CORPORATION OCTOBER SALES REPORT

 MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) reported today that sales for the month of October were up 15.4 percent over a year ago. On a comparable store basis, sales increased 3.9 percent. This comparable store sales increase was on top of a 15.9 percent store for store gain in October 1992. William Kellogg, Chairman of Kohl's Corporation stated that, "It's important to look at the months of September and October together. We experienced cool weather in the Midwest in September this year, which contributed to early buying of winter apparel. Combined, the two months' sales were up 22.3 percent while comparable stores were up 11.3 percent."
 For the quarter ended Oct. 30, 1993, sales were up 19.6 percent over the same period a year ago. On a comparable store basis, sales increased 8.8


percent.
 For the nine months ended Oct. 30, 1993, sales were up 18.8 percent over the same period a year ago. On a comparable store basis, sales increased 8.5 percent.
