KOHL'S CORPORATION AUGUST SALES REPORT

 MILWAUKEE, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) reported today that sales for the month of August were up 14.8 percent over a year ago. On a comparable store basis, sales increased 4.6 percent. William Kellogg, chairman of Kohl's Corporation stated that, "We are extremely pleased with our sales performance in August. This comparable store sales increase was on top of a 28.3 percent store for store gain in August 1992."
 For the 30 weeks ended Aug. 28, 1993, sales were up 17.6 percent over the same period a year ago. On a comparable store basis, sales increased 7.7 percent.
