KOH-I-NOOR INC. ACQUIRES GRUMBACHER FROM BEROL; TONY MURRAY NAMED AS
 GRUMBACHER PRESIDENT
BLOOMSBURY, N.J., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Koh-I-Noor Inc., a Rotring company, announced today that it has finalized an agreement with Berol Corporation for the purchase of its M. Grumbacher Inc. subsidiary. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Also announced was the appointment of Tony Murray as president of the new Koh-I-Noor subsidiary. Murray is presently vice president of sales and marketing for Koh-I-Noor.
According to Murray the acquisition of Grumbacher is a strategic move on behalf of Koh-I-Noor to better serve the diverse needs or the graphic and fine art marketplace worldwide.
"The purchase of Grumbacher is part of our overall long range strategy to concentrate on our core business within the graphic and fine art markets. The addition of the Grumbacher name and the fine, high quality products they manufacture assists us to better serve our customers with a more complete range of products from a single source," said Murray.
The Grumbacher color products plant in Cranbury, N.J., and the brush manufacturing facility in Lisbon Falls, Maine, will continue to operate as part of Koh-I-Noor's overall manufacturing operations. The additional manufacturing capability allows Koh-I-Noor greater flexibility to manufacture its own products.
