KODAK and Rock Photographer Neal Preston Collaborate on Book to Benefit Wounded U.S. Military Personnel.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Some of rock and roll's greatest performers are captured in a collection by renowned photographer Neal Preston now on exhibit in Hollywood, Calif.

Eastman Kodak Company is supporting the exhibit by printing a commemorative softcover book of Preston's photographs using its NEXPRESS digital printing technology.

The book serves both as a catalog to spur print sales and as part of an invitation package sent to VIP guests for a private opening. All profits from the opening night print sales will benefit a new recovery program for wounded U.S. military personnel.

Preston's exhibit at the new Morrison Hotel Gallery kicked off on Nov. 9 with an invitation-only VIP fundraiser to benefit the Stevie Nicks Soldier's Angel Foundation. Nicks, a longtime friend of Preston's, created the foundation to aid the healing process of wounded U.S. servicemen and women returning from overseas duty. Donations help purchase iPods, which are loaded with music and given to the wounded recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.

The Preston collection opened to the public on Nov. 11. For information on the Morrison Hotel Gallery, visit www.morrisonhotelgallery.com.

"Kodak is excited to support Neal Preston's show at the Morrison Hotel Gallery and the wonderful efforts of the Stevie Nicks Soldier's Angel Foundation. Neal's amazing collection contains intimate portraits of many of rock's legendary artists, and donating the printing of the catalog is an excellent way to showcase the capabilities of Kodak's digital printing technology," said Mike Howard, Vice President of Marketing, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group.

Preston worked with Kodak on the design and production of the catalog, which features photographs of music giants including Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, Dr. Dre, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Who and Pearl Jam.

The 116-page book was printed using a KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press with a KODAK NEXGLOSSER glossing unit and fifth imaging unit. The NEXPRESS 2500 press can be used by print-service providers to create quick-turnaround output of photo books, calendars, and greeting cards.
