KODAK TO MOVE REGIONAL HEADQUARTERS

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) today announced that it will relocate the headquarters for its U.S. & Canada Region of the Imaging Group from Rochester to the greater Washington, D.C., area.
As a result, about 200 of the approximately 3,500 employees in Rochester who report to the U.S. & Canada Region eventually will move to the Washington area. The move is expected to be completed in about a year.
"Moving our regional headquarters to the Washington area will give us greater access to our customers and our markets," said Robert T. Hamilton, vice president and general manager of the U.S. & Canada region. "We considered several sites and decided that Washington offers the most benefits for us." He added that no specific location has been selected.
Leo J. Thomas, president of Kodak's Imaging Group, pointed out that the move is consistent with the relocation of the Latin American Region from Rochester to Miami two years ago. "That shift has been very successful," Thomas said, "because it placed the headquarters much closer to the customers and markets it serves. We now will have all of our Regional Headquarters in major market areas, near their customers, and conducive to doing good business."
The Imaging Group's European, African and Middle Eastern Region is headquartered in London and the Asia/Pacific Region is headquartered in Tokyo.
