KODAK ANNOUNCES NEW LOW-COST, HIGH-VOLUME COPIER THAT FEATURES HIGH RELIABILITY

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) today announced the availability of a new high-volume copier- duplicator designed for central reproduction departments and print shops.
The Kodak Ektaprint 185 copier-duplicator, with a speed of 85 copies per minute, is a continuous-run copier-duplicator available with accent color and in-line finishing capabilities.
The Ektaprint 185 copier-duplicator features an easy-to-use control panel and a special high-speed paper path that virtually eliminates paper jams. Operators can also select two-sided copying to help minimize costs, and a single operator can keep several machines in full production simultaneously. The Ektaprint 185 can run from both paper supplies without interruption to help increase productivity.
Available immediately for approximately $35,000, the Ektaprint 185 copier-duplicator delivers rich solids for short or long runs. This new copier-duplicator from Kodak's Office Imaging organization produces high- quality copies quickly and reliably and is ideally suited to meet the needs of the central reproduction departments and print shops.
The 185 copier-duplicator builds on the proven reliability of the award-winning Kodak Ektaprint 150 copier-duplicator and the Kodak Ektaprint 235 copier-duplicator. The 185 copier-duplicator delivers superior value for markets where customers require excellent image quality, consistent performance, and user-friendly operation, such as in government operations or education environments.
Customers can also upgrade their existing Kodak Ektaprint 150 or 150AF copier-duplicators by purchasing a Kodak Ektaprint 150 turbo kit that will upgrade the 150 or 150AF product to a continuous run machine at 85 ppm. This field-installable upgrade is available for $2,500.
