 KNOWLEDGEWARE RECEIVES $25 MILLION ORDER
 ATLANTA, June 23 /PRNewswire/ -- KnowledgeWare, Inc.

(NASDAQ-NMS: KNOW) announced today the largest single transaction in the company's history.
IBM (NYSE: IBM) has purchased a U.S. enterprise license for products and maintenance valued at $25 million over the next three years. Under the license, IBM U.S. manufacturing and development lines of business have perpetual use of 12 KnowledgeWare Application Development Workbench(R) products, and will receive certain associated maintenance services.
"We believe this may be the biggest single transaction in the history of the CASE industry," said KnowledgeWare Chairman and CEO Francis A. Tarkenton, "and we are very proud to have IBM's business."
"When KnowledgeWare introduced its first CASE tool in 1985, we identified our target market as IBM business systems development, and our goal was to provide the best integrated development tools to support that market," said KnowledgeWare President and COO Donald P. Addington. "This focus was the basis of our relationship with IBM and that relationship has expanded to include a common customer base, AD/Cycle marketing partnership, IBM equity ownership in KnowledgeWare, technology license arrangements, joint development projects, and our most important relationship -- IBM is KnowledgeWare's largest customer worldwide."
KnowledgeWare develops, markets and supports CASE tools for use by information systems development professionals. KnowledgeWare markets its products from sales and support offices throughout the United States and through international distributors in 32 countries. KnowledgeWare is a member of the IBM International Alliance for AD/Cycle.
