KNOWLEDGEWARE'S APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT WORKBENCH WILL SUPPORT OS/2 2.0

 KNOWLEDGEWARE'S APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT WORKBENCH
 WILL SUPPORT OS/2 2.0
CHICAGO, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- KnowledgeWare, Inc (NASDAQ-NMS: KNOW) today announced that it will certify version 2.7 of its Application Development Workbench(a) (ADW(b)) CASE tools to support IBM's OS/2(c) 2.0.
The Application Development Workbench is KnowledgeWare's strategic SAA(d) and CUA(e)-compliant CASE offering for IBM's AD/Cycle(f) framework. The ADW products are designed to take advantage of OS/2's multitasking, windowing and enhanced Presentation Manager(g) capabilities. KnowledgeWare expects the features of OS/2 to provide immediate benefits to its role as a developer of complex OS/2-based tools and to its customers evaluating OS/2 for their own applications.
"We believe OS/2 2.0 will appeal to almost everyone," said KnowledgeWare Chief Technical Officer Michael A. Ryan. "It is priced and marketed to reach a broad audience and it gives users what they want: an integrating platform providing access to present and future DOS-family applications."
KnowledgeWare was the first IBM(h) International Alliance Member for AD/Cycle to support OS/2 with the initial release of Application Development Workbench in June 1990. To date, KnowledgeWare has shipped over 56,000 licenses of the OS/2-based ADW products.
KnowledgeWare develops, markets, and supports computer-aided software engineering (CASE) tools for use by information systems development professionals. Headquartered in Atlanta, KnowledgeWare has offices throughout the United States and exclusive distributors in more than 32 countries. KnowledgeWare is also involved in various technology licensing and joint development projects with IBM.
