KMART LAUNCHES TORNADO RELIEF IN MISSISSIPPI

 TROY, Mich., Nov. 24 ~PRNewswire~ -- Kmart Corporation (NYSE: KM) today announced a multi-step relief effort to help Mississippi tornado victims. The company will contribute $2,000 to ?American Red Cross for immediate aid and has already supplied more than $500 worth of groceries from the Jackson, Miss., Super Kmart Center.
 Starting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, non-perishable food donations will be accepted in the Super Kmart Center parking lot at 597 Beasley Road. The items collected will be distributed to food banks affiliated with the American Red Cross and will be accepted until the semi-trailer is full.
 The Super Kmart Center opened Nov. 5 and operates on a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week format.
 The $2,000 contribution to the American Red Cross will be presented by Art Meyer, manager of the Jackson Kmart store at 3750 Highway 80 West, and Mickey Kilgo, manager of the Super Kmart Center.
 Kmart Corporation serves America with more than 4,000 retail outlets in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Canada. Kmart, currently operating 2,400 Kmart stores, is also the parent company for PACE Membership Warehouse, Builders Square, PayLess Drug Stores, Waldenbooks, The Sports Authority, OfficeMax and Borders.
