 KMART CONTRACTS FOR TRIAD DATABASE FOR 1000 SERVICE CENTERS
 LIVERMORE, Calif., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Triad Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TRSC) today announced it will provide 1000 Kmart Corporation automotive service centers across the United States with its manufactures parts and prices and labor estimating databases.
 Kmart, headquartered in Troy, Mich., will begin utilizing the Triad database as part of its recently undertaken store automation program.
 The contract, for which terms were not disclosed, calls for Triad to provide Kmart's service centers with software and monthly updates of its automotive parts and prices and labor estimating databases. Triad is to begin initial database shipments in August, with all Kmart service centers included by the end of 1993.
 Triad's automotive database includes 1.9 million parts, and its labor estimating database incorporates Mitchell International's mechanical repair information.
 Triad's Electronic Catalog -- introduced in 1984 -- and its derivative products include parts and prices from nearly 2500 product lines representing 400 automotive parts manufacturers. Data covers domestic and imported automobiles produced since 1968. The company introduced its labor estimating database in late 1991, and its database products now serve more than 22,000 automotive counter positions nationally.
