KMART CALLS OUTSTANDING 8-1/8 PERCENT DEBENTURES DUE 1997

 TROY, Mich., June 25, 1993 /PRNewswire/ -- Kmart (NYSE: KM)
 announced today that it has called for redemption all outstanding
 Kmart 8-1/8 percent Debentures due 1997 in the principal amount of
 approximately $200 million.
 Holders may redeem each $1,000 principal amount of the debentures at
 a redemption price of $1,000 plus $7.00 in interest accrued to
 August 2, 1993, the redemption date. No interest will accrue on the
 debentures on or after August 2, 1993.
 The redemption agent is The Bank of New York, P.O. Box 11249, Church
 Street Station, Bond Redemption Unit - 11 West, New York, NY 10288.

 Czech Republic and Slovakia. Kmart, currently operating 2,415 Kmart
